Welcome to UOS

Hey everyone!

As promise, I will share some of my experience while I am in Surrey.
I will only specify in UOS (University of Surrey) for this post and will tell you all about Guildford on my next. Deal? :D

For starters, I arrived in Heathrow London on 22nd September but stayed at one of my super nice senior friend's house. I was so excited to arrive in London that I straight away went sightseeing in Central London on the same day of arrival, which I will tell you all about it later. ;)

So, we make our way to Surrey the next day, Sunday, by taxi. It was a 23pound journey each person, there were 3 of us, you do the math. The price was right since, it was a taxi, and we had a lot of stuff with us. hehe.
Welcome pack - ready in my room when I arrive.

As soon as we reach Surrey, which only took us about 30-40 minutes, we checked into our own rooms and head out to the nearest Tesco to buy some essential stuff to LIVE! haha. Seriously, everything is sooooo cheap over here, that I feel like buying them all. ;)

This is what I normally cook in UOS ;)
Tasty isn't it? It is. haha.
As day pass by, hence, it was the beginning of UOS Welcome week. We had a lot of (I'm lying) activities that I couldn't get my hands off. Going to this and that talk, ice breaking (lying again), I can't even get any sleep (ultimate lie). Haha. One thing for sure, I was so damn tired (BIGGEST LIE EVER). ;) So you get the picture right? hee'

After a week, it was time to start the lecture. My first class ever after A Levels. I. COULD. NOT. UNDERSTAND. A. THING. SHE. SAID. I feel like I am on a completely different planet. The slang they use, Oh my. haha. Second day, was much easier since I am already beginning to adapt to their style of talking (you know, I picked up an accent already), so it was not much of a problem anymore.

Meet my awesome flatmates! (this is only 1/2 of them)
Apart from that, I did make some new friends. Some from London, India, Rome, Italy, Nigeria and other places too. My flatmates? THEY ARE COMPLETELY AWESOME! haha.
We had our first get together on the first weekend. One of my housemate cooked for us and oh my, it was extremely delicious. ;) I owe her a meal for that.

Other than that, behold, our own Sports Park! UOS sports park is definitely huge! There are so many facilities and clubs available that I could not even decide which one to join. I probably have to decide it now if I want to be apart of a club soon. ;)

Netball! I really want to join them. :D
Nevertheless, other things being equal, it was basically amazing to be in UOS. The place has a very nice atmosphere, the people are definitely friendly, you can just randomly go and talk to people and make new friends. You have a free pass for that. Not just that, you can even make friends with the squirrel! Yeap, there are a LOT of them. ;) Few always come knocking at my window sometimes. ;)

Well, I guess there is no need for me to elaborate on it any further, I presume pictures will do the trick.
So enjoy!

I happen to buy a flower pot -
still have no idea what flower this is though. (",)
For more awesome pictures, visit my facebook page. Sorry, it is strictly for friends only but, if you are interested to see how UOS looks like, do visit their homepage.
Farewell for now!

Oh! Do anticipate for my next post on the big city of London. ;)

Bye bye!
