Assalamualaikum to my dear readers (if there's any)
I just finished reading an article on Yahoo! about some Muslim women who wanted to sue for religious discrimination while working on disney. For more update click here.
Anyway, it was not about the article I am upset about but the comments.
I was really hoping to see just a simple "comment" about her action but well, I see a pretty hurtful remarks most of them made towards us Muslims and Islam.
Well, it is okay to give your opinion on something but there is also a limit to the freedom. We live in a world with various cultures and faith. And as those had been living for more than thousands of years among us, why can't we still respect each other and just be nice. We may not understand other religions apart from our own (some of us may even not fully understand our own yet). But we who holds onto our faith are trying our best to be closer to our God/beliefs. Does not matter if I'm a Muslim, or he is a Christian or she's and Atheist. We each have our own faith and each of us should take the effort to at least know a little bit about the other's and try to understand them enough for us to respect them.
It's fine if you don't want to, but please don't dishonor other people's faith.
Of course from history there are wars which are caused by religious differences but now? How could they call themselves civilized if they don't even act like one.
Every religions have their own preaches and duties which its followers need to obey. Some will follow full heartedly and some will not. These different religions itself came from God and it is perfect in their own way, the only thing to taint it is the followers. So please, do not misunderstood between Muslims and Islam. Islam is the way of life, and Muslims are the people who accept it.
Grow up, and accept the fact that WE ARE HERE! and we are not going anyway.
Well of course, from the article,
I am a little bit upset about Disney
but same goes to that worker also.
She should be aware of where she is living in,
and should also be aware of the terms and conditions
of Disney before she accepted the job.
Of course I personally did hope that the management could accept it
but I know that it is not going to be that simple.
There are rules for people to follow in certain places.
Just decide which one you are willing to follow.
The company or your way of life.

ReplyDeleteHmm, she was offered on some other jobs by Disney but she didn't accept it?
ReplyDeleteWell, I still don't get why some countries in the world ban the hijab, it's not like we're doing anything harming anyone.
